Fans of the hit TV series "The OC" about a decade ago is in for a treat because the show is coming back, not as a TV series but as a musical show this August.
Some of the show's most loved cast will be there including Autumn Reeser but she won't be playing Taylor Townsend this time. Us Magazine said that she be taking in the role of Julie Cooper, the neighbor of Sandy and Kirsten Cohen on the show. For those who forgot who she is, Reeser was seen on the 3rd season of the show and the musical's story's setting is even before the 2nd and 3rd season. This is why she won't be reprising her character. But the good news is she's still in the mix.
The Digital Spy also gave a quick recap of the story by informing its readers that Julie Cooper was once the job of actor Melinda Clarke back on TV. It is just going to be a one-night show at The Federal Bar in North Hollywood. The musical will just focus on the pilot episode of the famous TV series.
Other actors on the show are Rick Cosnett (who will play the role of Sandy Cohen), Drew Seeley (who will play the role of Luke Ward) and Christina Lakin (who will play the role of Kirsten Cohen). Adam Brody won't be on the cast as the magazine also said that he is expecting a child with actress Leighton Meester.
E! also got hold of the news and reported that the musical will be under the production of Jordan Boss and Lindsey Rosin. These are the same people who created The Cruel Intentions musical. The songs used for the The O.C. Musical will be all from the early 2000's.
