Bethesda released a blog post yesterday stating that gamers can now preorder "Fallout 4" for Xbox One. Ordering for the post-apocalyptic role-playing game ahead of time will also gain gaming enthusiasts a free copy of "Fallout 3" which is playable on Xbox 360.
"We're excited to announce - for a limited time - your pre-order of Fallout 4 for Xbox One will entitle you to receive Fallout 3 on Xbox 360," stated on the blog post.
After 7 to 10 days, those who purchased the game will receive a code for "Fallout 3" sent on their xbox message center which they can then use to redeem their free game.
Earlier at the E3 2015 event which happened last June, the game's publisher already revealed the news, which excited many gamers.
Gamers can play the "Fallout 3" on Xbox One consoles which is made possible by its latest backward compatibility functionality, which will be rolled out in the fall. Even if the title was released in 2008 for an older console, users with the Xbox One will now be able to play the game.
On the brighter side, members of the Xbox One Preview Program will no longer have to wait for the new feature to be issued. They can immediately begin playing the free "Fallout 3" including other Xbox 360 titles on their Xbox One.
Gamers can for now, pre-order from the Xbox Store, although there is no word whether a similar type of deal will be offered by video game retailers. "Fallout 4" costs $59.99, which already includes the free "Fallout 3" title.
However, the aforementioned good news is exclusive only for Xbox users. Unfortunately, those with the PlayStation 4 cannot avail of the promo.
The highly anticipated role-playing video game will be released on November 10. It will be playable on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
