Asus, one of the world's largest PC vendors, has unveiled its latest gaming notebook. The ROG GL552, which was launched under Republic of Gamers, the electronics company's gaming brand will be available in India at a price of Rs. 70,999, or about $1,115.
Lately, the computer company has been down to business in the gaming industry and launching the new ROG GL552 is a further move in that route.
The new gaming notebook comes with a 15.6-inch full-HD LED display supported with Intel Core i7 CPU, paired with 8GB RAM and 1TB of storage. In terms of graphic processor, the unit is powered by the newest Nvidia GTX 950M that has 2GB VRAM. These specifications will surely provide players an advanced gaming experience.
In addition to this, the latest gaming device also displays a backlit keyboard similar to other gaming laptops. This will give players an enhanced and relaxed experience even when playing in the dark.
Asus India regional head Peter Chang stated that the new product can produce maximum gaming abilities.
"Backed by high strength (material), it takes design aesthetics a notch higher with F22 stealth fighter-inspired design that commands the game. It brings the best of Intel and Microsoft integrated into the device to endow it with maximum gaming capabilities," said the regional head.
The notebook also contains 3 USB 3.0 ports to make the transferring of data faster. Furthermore, the unit is qualified to power a screen with resolution reaching up to 20148 X 1536 on an external display.
However, the new gaming device has a disadvantage in terms of weight and dimensions. Compared to other gaming notebook, the GL 552 weighs 2.6 kg which will give users inconvenience when carrying it.
For now, ROG GL552 in blue-grey will only be available in Asus stores, Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart.
