Howard Stern ‘America’s Got Talent’: Is Radio SiriusXM Leaving NBC Talent Show?

For many viewers of the NBC talent show, Howard Stern's "America's Got Talent" judging stints and occasional bouts of prima donna moments is just what makes the show as interesting as it is, but it seems like the celebrity radio host, famous for his SiriusXM long-running talk show, isn't coming back for a fifth year.

Howard Stern's "America's Got Talent" contract goes on a yearly basis, which means that at the end of each season the show's producers ask him whether he'll be staying or going, and Stern himself recently stated in his talk show that he's leaving the talent show after finishing up this season.

According to Variety, Howard Stern's "America's Got Talent" news came out last Wednesday morning, when the star, who often receives high-profile guests such as Robert Downey Jr. or pop legend Madonna, said during his radio show that he'd told NBC that this would be his last season.

"I'm going through my own career evaluation right now ... in all seriousness, I've told you, I'm just too f------ busy ... something's got to give," the talk show host said when asked about Howard Stern's "America's Got Talent" contract, according to NBC New York. "NBC's already asked me what my intentions are for next year, whether or not I'd come back, I kind of have told them I think this is my last season. Not I think, this is my last season."

However, The New York Post reports that this wouldn't be the first time that Howard Stern's "America's Got Talent" contract makes headlines, as an insider on NBC told the outlet that Stern actually claims to be about to leave the show every year when his contract is about to expire, so it's hard to know whether this time it's the truth.

Be that as it may, during the same Wednesday morning, Stern also said he'd been offered something else in television, but he didn't specify.

On the subject of who could replace Howard Stern's "America's Got Talent" spot sitting alongside Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Mel B. and Nick Cannon, the host already gave his two cents, suggesting Simon Cowell.
