Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol Breakup: Over After Dating For 8 Months

Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol have ended their relationship after dating for 8 months, US Weekly reports. The 33-year-old pop superstar reportedly removed the photos of her ex-beau on her Instagram account following the break-up.

"I just felt that he was in it for the wrong reasons," a source told US.

People Magazine reported that the "Oops! I Did it Again" singer is not too sad about her recent split by posting a photo with a "mystery man" in Instagram on Sunday.

"So nice to be home! Nothing like Louisiana boys," the pop star wrote.

Spears started dating the 32-year-old son of Saturday Night Live's co-creator, Dick Ebersol and television actress Susan Saint James in October last year.

"There was something about him that made me feel really peaceful and at ease. And he was really hot, too. Adorably hot," the "I'm A Slave 4 U" singer told People in her cover issue.

Charlie has spent some time with Britney's sons, 9-year-old Sean Preston and 8-year-old Jayden James during their 8-month relationship. He even spent the holidays with Spears and her boys, posing as a complete family in a Christmas photo.

In February, Britney posted a photo of her former beau's Valetines Day gift, a cake topped with french macaroons and an enormous heart that read "Charlie [hearts] Britney."

"Cake war over! Charlie wins!!!! Happy Valentine's Day everyone," she captioned.

The former couple's last public appearance was in the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in May.

Ebersol was Spears' most recent boyfriend following her split with David Lucado after he reportedly cheated on her.

She was previously engaged to Jason Trawick, whom she dated from 2011 to 2013.

Spears was also married twice, counting her much-publicized 55-hour marriage with Jason Alexander in 2004 and her 3-year marriage with the father of her sons, Kevin Federline later that year.

Britney's most famous boyfriend was Justin Timberlake when he was still with *NSYNC from 1999 to 2002.
