Even though Miley Cyrus was always deemed as someone who wanted so much attention and the spotlight, it's refreshing to see how she's using all that attention for the greater good now.
Using her famous and powerful status to bring awareness to her several causes like homelessness and the LGBT youth - which her Happy Hippie Foundation aims to help - Cyrus recently teamed up with Instagram for the #InstaPride campaign.
On Tuesday night, Miley attended the amfAR Inspiration Gala in New York. Showing her dedication to her cause, the "Wrecking Ball" singer brought agender Tyler as her date for the night.
As Miley was shooting the #InstaPride campaign, she posted a snap of Tyler Ford with an endearing introduction in the caption. "Meet Tyler (@tywrent), a 24 year old living in New York city, and my date for @amfar tonight!!! Tyler is a queer, biracial, agender person, whose pronouns are they/them/theirs."
The pair definitely made a statement on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala. Miley Cyrus opted for a bright, red sequined hearts Jeremy Scott creation. It featured a huge bow on the back, and Miley topped the look off with matching red gloves.
On the other hand, Tyler went more for a simple yet classy look. They wore a black dress with a plunging neckline, and matched the dress with red Doc Martens.
Tyler introduced and presented Miley with an Inspiration Award, along with "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen for their fund raising efforts for the organization.
The activity was "dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention and treatment education," as said by Entertainment Tonight.
Thanks to the event, Miley Cyrus also had the opportunity to meet "Orange Is The New Black" actress Laverne Cox. Cyrus even shared two snaps on Instagram. "This is sooooo MAJOR!!!!! Selfie with @tywrent & @lavernecox," she captioned one photo.
