Nicole Scherzinger took a stumble in her career when she was reportedly dropped by her record label. She was signed to RCA Records, but they're said to have let her go after poor sales of her second album.
The former Pussycat Dolls star's first single Your Love went in at number six in the UK Singles Chart but the second song released, Run, only managed to reach 46, and third single On the Rocks reached number 90.
Her album ‘Big Fat Lie’ also only spent two weeks in the Top 100 before dropping out.
The 36-year-old singer had high hopes for her latest album collaborating with top producers like will.i.am, Dallas Austin and Beyonce collaborator Toby Gad. But her singles failed to make an impact.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘There is a feeling that Nicole didn’t get the support she needed on the release to make it a success. Fans have been grumbling that they didn’t think the right singles were released by the label.’
They added: "A number of new songs leaked online a few weeks ago and fans were angry that they weren't on her last album."
However, the insider added that it is likely that the former The X Factor judge will be picked up by another label.
This is another bad news for Nicole as she already had a stumble in her love life back in February when she split from her long-time boyfriend, Formula One superstar Lewis Hamilton.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini also blocked her potential return to 'The X Factor.'
Nicole opened up about the reasons why she and Hamilton went their separate ways, "Sometimes people stay in relationships because they get complacent, because it's comfortable for them, because they don't want to be alone," she explained.
"It's a new chapter in my life. I'm going through a very transformative time in my life."
Nicole is currently competing on US TV series ‘I Can Do That’, which sees celebrities performing talents members of the public didn’t know they had.
