The Game Turns Himself In To LA Cops

Los Angeles born rapper known as "The Game" turned himself in at the Los Angeles Police Department on June 8 due to an alleged assault that involves him and an off-duty officer during a basketball game back in March of this year.

USA Today said that LAPD's Officer Mike Lopez sent out a report stating that Jayceion Terell Taylor (The Game's real name) surrendered at the Hollywood Division on Monday around noon time. The Game was said to have thrown a punch at the off-duty officer and it was all captured on video that was posted by TMZ online. The rapper got booked by the cops for his alleged assault, then gave out $50,000 bail money after an hour.

Reports on Yahoo said that among the reasons The Game got out on bail is because the video that was posted online didn't show the authenticity of the incident. After his schedule with the LAPD, he posted an Instagram photo with him in front of the Hollywood station while he was waiting for his Uber ride.

Meanwhile, VIBE Magazine got a deeper coverage of the story saying that LAPD Officer Onyebuchi Awaji did file for charges against the rapper. The lawsuit is for the reason that the blow given to him by The Game was so hard that it might have caused him getting some brain damage. The Game said that he only defended himself because the officer attempted to shoot him. He revealed all these after 2 months of dealing with the issue in an interview with TMZ.

Dr. Dre's protégé rapper said that he and the police will never be at peace with each other. He was just being himself and the police will do their jobs as well. There are cops that are straight in their line of work, but there are also others that don't play right. The Game made it known that those cops that don't do right, he doesn't mess with them.
