[VIRAL] Handmade Prom Dress Helps Kyemah McEntire Get Crowned Prom Queen, Promptly Breaks Internet [PHOTOS]

The internet definitely loves a Cinderella story.

Kyemah McEntire may only be eighteen, but she is a designer to watch out for. The creative senior decided that she will not be shopping for a dress for her prom. Instead, she handmade a gorgeous gown that represented her culture, completely stole the show and became fashion's hottest internet darling.

The student of Cicely Tyson School of Performing Arts is understandably proud of her African roots, and the dress clearly shows it. The vibrant color and intricate details are a stark contrast to the usual muted hues used for regular prom dresses.

There was no doubt that Kyemah was the belle of the ball. It was no surprise when she was crowned prom queen.

Photographs of the young artist and her amazing prom dress have instantly gone viral. Twitter users were quick to congratulate the girl on her stunning design.

Kyemah's description of herself as an artist also seems to reflect her prom dress. "The most creative people are the ones who step out of their comfort zone and take advantage of the world around them," the East Orange, NJ resident wrote in her Wordpress. "My abilities as an artist allows me to experience the benefits that versatility fosters. Being exposed to all kinds of people and cultures is the muse for my artwork. I am an artist who is very passionate about the connection between art and the world."

Kyemah has recently announced on Instagram that prints of her works are finally available in Etsy store, KyesMind. She also took the time to express her gratitude to her supporters.

"Once again, thank you to everyone who believes in me and continues to support me," the artist wrote. "It's greatly appreciated."

It also looks like Kyemah will pursue a career in design. The fresh graduate will be attending Parsons School of Design.
