Former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Val Venis wants to tell the world that using medical marijuana is one of the main reasons why he is still alive today.
Despite a growing number of deaths among wrestlers due to dependency on pain-relieving drugs that cause liver and kidney diseases, the former Intercontinental and European Champion is proud to say that shifting to medical marijuana was his best move.
"I could smoke marijuana and eat marijuana for the rest of my life and never suffer any liver disease or kidney failure due to pills. The pills will get you every single time, with marijuana, you could be 110-years-old and still smoke it," Venice tells Inquistr.
His decision to go organic was made in 2008, after realizing that taking prescribed pills to relieve his joint problems could lead to severe health risks. The former wrestler was still suffering shoulder pains and could not get his elbows straight after he retired.
Wrestlers regularly take prescribed pharmaceutical medication to ease the pain from all the bone-breaking, head-slamming and body-smashing in their sport.
Val Venis was popular for his smooth entrance in his "Hello Ladies" music intro during his WWE matches. He got fans screaming when he sways his butt in a sexy towel, every time he walks in the ring.
Also a tag-team champ, the former RAW IS WAR regular has got in the ring with other wrestling icons like Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Mankind, Rikishi, and other WWE stars for over a decade.
Years after his retirement, Venis is now busy tweeting the health benefits of Cannabis to the world. Growing marijuana himself, the businessman also points out the non-addictive effects of medical marijuana, claiming it has saved him from attaining diseases like liver and kidney cancer.
"I love getting out there and teaching people the truth about cannabis. There is so much cannabis can do, I don't think people have any reason to fear it at all. We're trying to get the truth out there so people can absorb that truth and really have a huge paradigm shift in the way people feel and think about cannabis," Venis shared.
Venis added he is just waiting for the legalization of recreational marijuana in Arizona and Phoenix so he could expand his medical marijuana business across these states, and eventually, in the country.
