Brain Tumor Guitar: Right Before Brain Surgery, This Man Played The Beatles’ ‘Yesterday’ At O.R. [VIDEO]

In the latest heartwarming viral video, a Brazilian man named Anthony Kulkamp Dias straps on his favorite music instrument to play one of The Beatles' most beloved songs of all time, making the brain tumor guitar viral.

Two weeks after the birth of his son, Dias found out he was suffering from brain cancer, but he didn't let this terrible disease bring him down while owning up to the potential tragedy, and his brain tumor guitar-playing of classic ballad "Yesterday" has earned him the support of millions all over the world.

According to website BoingBoing, the brain tumor guitar-playing happened last week, as Brazilian Neurosurgeon Dr. Mark Ghizoni performed surgery on Dias to extract a tumor - but here's the catch: in fact, the patient was awake for the surgery, and the doctor was going through a very difficult ordeal in the meantime, although the person under the scalp remained happy about life.

Ryot reports that it isn't only the patient's positive outlook in life that made the brain tumor guitar-playing video a trending topic worldwide, but it's also a celebration of medical advancements in places such as Brazil, where this kind of procedure is a rarity; the surgery was performed in the Santa Catarina Nossa Senhora da Conceição hospital, and it's only the 19th time this happens.

The reason behind leaving the patient awake during this delicate brain procedure is because that way doctors can immediately check how the different areas in the brain are functioning throughout the operation, but it's unlikely that any of the attending doctors or nurses expected this brain tumor guitar concert in the operating room.

"I played six songs at certain times," Mr. Dias told the press before being discharged from the hospital, according to The Telegraph. "My right hand was a bit weaker because that was the side that they were operating on. So I stopped and rested. I was interspersing songs and talking with them."

About a week after the brain tumor guitar concert, Mr. Dias was discharged from the hospital.
