Caitlyn Jenner recently made headlines as her new identity was introduced on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. Just days after its release, Caitlyn seems to keep the ball rolling upon the announcement of her new documentary series.
The series is by Bunim/Murray Productions for the E! network and boasts of an eight-part documentary series called "I Am Cait." The hour-long episodes give viewers a closer look at Caitlyn's day-to-day life as a transgendered woman as she searches for her "new normal."
While getting ready and putting on some makeup, a clip in the teaser catches Jenner talking about the beauty standards imposed on women. "You start kind of learning all the pressures women are under all the time about their appearance," Caitlyn expressed.
The press release, via Yahoo! states, "[the show] will illustrate the star living her life as a transgender women and telling her intimate story as she seeks out her 'new normal.'"
The series will also feature how Caitlyn's transition is affecting the people around her, and most especially her famous "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" family.
Unfortunately, Jenner's older children from her marriage prior to the one from Kris Jenner would not be appearing in the documentary. While the older kids are supportive of Caitlyn's transition, they fear that Caitlyn will be "mocked and ridiculed."
"And at their own risk of financial gain and exposure, they said, 'No, we are not going to do it. We do not want to participate in something that we are concerned will be a spectacle because it's being produced by the same company that did 'Keeping Up With The Karadashians,'" reported Buzz Bissinger.
"I Am Cait" will debut on E! on July 26 at 9PM. The first promo of the docuseries was aired on "Today" just this morning. Watch the 60-second trailer below.
