Ed Sheeran was the latest musical guest on Jimmy Fallon's 'The Tonight Show,' where he sang the Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills" and the late 90s Limp Bizkit song "Break Stuff."
He visited the show to promote his mock EP ''Ed Sheeran Sings Heavy Metal" featuring 25 of the most hardcore and loud songs ever written.
The late night show's official Twitter account posted a tweet announcing the sketch, along with a YouTube link and a GIF of the British crooner singing and strumming his guitar.
The skit begins with host Jimmy Fallon posing as Steve Joshua in an advertisement for the record. He even referred to Sheeran as "pop music's cherub-faced troubadour."
He first gave his rendition of "Run to the Hills," complete with a lightning-stricken city skyline as background. Then he began singing the chorus of "Break Stuff," that didn't seem to offend the audience, despite him spewing bleeped swear words.
And as a bonus, he sang Ty Dolla Sign's hit rap song "Paranoid," making the audience giggle every time lyrics like "both of my b*tches drive Range Rovers" come out of his mouth.
Despite covering songs that feature heavy rock, metal and even hiphop beats, the 24-year-old singer was able to add his own, acoustic touch to them, rendering them into songs fit for a cafe playlist.
Ed Sheeran's guest appearance comes a few days after he debuted the song "Sweet Mary Jane," which is about marijuana. The pop star joins the likes of Snoop Dogg and Rihanna, who both have released weed-themed tunes.
