Shonda Rhimes Publishes New Book

Successful TV writer Shonda Rhimes who is known for being the woman behind hit TV series on ABC like Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How To Get Away with Murder is about to release a book entitled "Year of Yes". Simon and Schuster will be publishing it on November 2015.

According to the website Jezebel, the book is a lot like Jim Carey's movie "Yes Man" and the self-help book "A Place of Yes," written by Skinnygirl Bethenny Frankel back in 2011. The only difference is that it's the life of Rhimes and how it evolved around her saying yes in one year to the things she won't usually say yes to.

Time Magazine also covered this new milestone that Rhimes is about to get. During a press release, the talented writer said that it wasn't even her intention at first to have her experiences be out for the public to read. Her saying yes for a whole year is one of the best decisions she has ever made in her life, but it's also a little crazy, scary and even downright embarrassing. This is why she was hesitant to publish it on a book. But then Simon and Schuster offered her this gig and for some reason, she just went with that same challenge of saying yes to it.

Marysue Rucci, editor-in-chief of the publishing company told NBC that it is such a wonder why someone as talented as Rhimes would have to challenge herself like that. It is also an amazing journey that she would say yes for a year and make that an avenue to change her life for the better. She said that the book will be surprising, funny, moving and definitely inspiring and they can't wait to have it available for the public to buy.
