Fashion Icon Awardee Pharrell Williams, and his wife, Helen Lasichanh saved Kim Kardashian from getting caught on fire. Kim Kardashian posted on Instagram yesterday that the "Happy" singer and his wife saved her life.
Mrs. West tweeted, "Shout out to Pharrell & Helen who saved my life last night! LOL After the awards at dinner the feathers of my dress caught on fire from a candle & they jumped on me to get it out! #WereOn."
The most famous Kardashian, who attended the recent Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards at the Alice Tully Hall in New York's Lincoln Center on June 1, with her Grammy-winning husband, Kanye West, almost set herself on fire at the award show's dinner party.
Thankfully, the Williams couple was quick enough to get the fire out of the Dash owner's see-through Proenza Schoeler dress.
Kanye West presented the Fashion Icon Awards to his "style idol" Pharrell Williams who was wearing a blue leather jacket and jeans. According to CFDA, "The Fashion Icon Award is given to an individual whose style has made a significant impact on popular culture on an international stage."
Pharrell, who doesn't consider himself a style icon, says being real is the main fashion key. "I'm not a style icon, I'm just inspired, I am other, and I am ok with that. Someone's gonna do it." Pharrell also added that he is grateful for the people who believed in him. "Listen to your instincts, and to the people who see the quality in your differences, because you too, might just make a difference."
Kim Kardashian also presented the Media Award to Instagram, which was received by the social media app's co-founder, Kevin Systrom. The socialite was so proud to post a picture with Systrom on her Instagram account saying she was really honored to present the award to him.
Kim, who flaunted a hot maternity dress at the CFDA awards has just also announced that she and Kanye are looking forward to North West's sibling.
