'Fifty Shades of Grey' Author E.L. James To Release New Book

E.L. James, author of the popular romance novel 'Fifty Shades of Grey' has revealed through an Instagram post, that she will be releasing a new book based on Christian Grey's point of vew on June 18.

The novel, entitled 'Grey,' will tell the same story of the first book, but will be from the perspective of the handsome millionaire Christian Grey. Fans will be able to read how Christian really feels and see how he slowly and deeply falls in love with Anastasia Steele.

The author stated that, "This book is dedicated to those readers who asked...and asked... and asked... and asked for this. Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It's been a great pleasure to return to my happy place-writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage."

James definitely owes her success to her readers. In 2012, Amazon UK revealed that the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' surpassed the number of sold copies of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. More than 70 million copies were sold in the US during the first eight months after the book has been released.

The best-selling romance trilogy includes 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' 'Fifty Shades Darker' and 'Fifty Shades Freed,' and is continually gaining popularity all over the world. The first book was already brought to the big screen last February and earned over $500 million in the box office.

'Fifty Shades Darker' and 'Fifty Shades Freed' will also be made into films and will be released in 2017 and 2018. Like the first movie, the sequel will also be shown during Valentines season.
