In Captain America: Civil War, Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their fight against any kind of oppression. As they tread the globe, A Super Hero Registration Act was introduced by the US government, letting super heroes register their identity and give service to the state. Iron Man is in disagreement with the said act and creates a rift with Captain America. The rift casues a faction group which makes the super-heroes clash amongst one another.

In an interview with directors Joe and Anthony Russo, they confirmed the comeback of Scarlett Johansson to regain her role as Black Widow in Captain America: Civil War.
