$30 HOT DOG NEW YORK Vendor Charged After Selling Overpriced Hotdogs In Big Apple

$30 Hot Dog New York- Tourists at the 9/11 grounds, beware! A complaint is currently raised to a vendor selling $30 Hot Dog, New York. On Thursday, the vendor was charged and could face up to $1,500 penalty for violations including selling tourists $30 Hot Dog, soda, water and pretzel in the World Trade Center site.

The vendor identified as Ahmed Mohammed illegal practices came into open after he was captured by NBC 4 New York camera selling to a certain David $15 for a hot dog and a pretzel near the World Trade Center.

Mohammed, the $30 Hot Dog New York vendor was charged for number of offenses including having items outside his cart, failure to list prices, and for being too close to a crosswalk. Ticket charge costs around $200 to $500 per violation, the NY Post reports.

The $30 Hot Dog New York vendor was then caught after several tourists came to complain about overcharging.

Visitors at the World Trade Center site started pouring in and told that they were charged hotdogs, sodas, water and pretzels for prices ranging from $15 to $30 by the $30 Hot Dog New York vendor.

"What are you, a crook?" asked by NBC 4 New York correspondent. "I'm not a tourist, so I know the price in New York," David shortly divulged to NBC 4 New York.

"I just felt like I was getting ripped off, and it's just making the 9/11 grounds like a big tourist trap," another woman exclaimed while reporting to NBC.

A New Jersey resident complained that he was charged by Mohammed a hot dog and a Dr Pepper for $35 while in one occasion, the $30 Hot Dog New York vendor was caught charging a New Yorker with a French accent $15 for a hot dog and a pretzel.

Jessica Lappin of the Alliance for Downtown New York stated that the $30 Hot Dog New York vendor "gives New York a bad name."

Hotdogs in New York can be purchased at prices starting from $1 to $3. With the controversial $30 Hot Dog New York vendor, a New York politician Karen Koslowitz is pushing a bill to make posting prices in each establishment a law, the Fox News reports.

Aside from overcharging, the $30 Hot Dog New York vendor was also known how to make excuses and lies when New York cops tried to intervene on his illegal practices. Mohammed also tried to rip off a Daily News reporter after the correspondent bought $2 for a hot dog on Wednesday and never gave the change.

When confronted, the $30 Hot Dog New York vendor stated that the hotdog actually costs $3 so he didn't bother to give the change.
