After her absence from the Hollywood scene for months, Leighton Meester seems to come back from hiatus, after being spotted showing off her growing baby bump during lunch with husband Adam Brody and a friend.

Leighton was seen in Los Angeles wearing a comfortable blue flannel long sleeves over a stretchy gray top that flaunted her very pregnant belly, black leggings and sneakers. She hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses.

Her casual outfit was a complete opposite from her very well-known character in Gossip Girl. She portrayed the main character Blair Waldorf who was known for her iconic style moments, alongside best friend Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively.

The 29-year-old actress was barely wearing any makeup during the lunch date with her husband. She completed her look by tying her hair in a simple, rugged, low ponytail.

Her other half also sported a low-key look, wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans, hiding his hair under a green and yellow cap.

Leighton and Adam co-starred in the 2011 drama-comedy film The Oranges, where they became close and friendly. They would hang out on occassion during shooting for the film.

They went public with their relationship in February 2014 and both were planning to get married eventually.

The attractive couple secretly tied the knot last year and made their red carpet debut as a married couple when they attended the 2014 Tony Awards.

The mother-to-be recently revealed that she wanted to follow the footsteps of co-star Blake Lively, who gave birth to daughter James Reynolds last year. The 27-year-old married actor Ryan Reynolds in 2012. The two met while filming the superhero movie Green Lantern in 2010.

"Most people I know are starting to get married. It'll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I've got dogs," Mrs. Brody said in an interview with Nylon Magazine.
