Everybody's still talking about Nick Jonas' show-stopping Billboard Music Awards performance, even days after it was aired live on television. For good reason, other performers have the "right to be hellish," because they might just be jealous of the best performance seen this year.
Billboard even ranked the star's performance as the best one of the awards night. "In a night filled with performances from pros (Some of whom have more years and Billboard hits to their name), the already-ascending JoBro was the evening's biggest live standout," Joe Lynch said.
Jonas' performance was expected to be good, but the youngest Jonas Brother has just exceeded expectations. Adorned with neon lights and a brightly lit stage, the performance gave a "Miami Vice" sci-fi futuristic vibe.
Although many might think that the laser lights could be too much of a distraction, surely his sexy crooner demeanor over shone even the brightest laser on the stage. Sporting a silver varsity jacket and aviator shades, it very much seems like a flashback to the '80s - but with a more modern take.
The show wasn't short of the "Chains" singer's signature falsetto. Nick even showed off his electric guitar skills. The singer is definitely boasting his multiple talents, with guitar riffs playing in between lyrics of the first verse.
Jonas even had a slick though short guitar solo in the middle of the song. Check out his performance below.
His amazing vocal totally killed the gig, and Nick definitely deserved the standing ovation he received.
Fans have something more to look forward to from the Jonas Brother, as he announced his North American tour upon closing the performance. The "Live In Concert" tour will start in Hershey, Pennsylvania on September 6.
The tour will be stopping over at 19 cities including New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and Toronto. Special guest BeBe Rexha will also be touring with Jonas.
