Becoming a superstar when she was only in her teens and expanding even further by dating her "High School Musical" co-star Zac Efron afterwards, the 26 year-old singer and actress definitely has a lot to say - and Vanessa Hudgens' gay rights stand has now become a big part of her life.
Only a few weeks ago, Food World News reported on a recent interview given by the "Gotta Go My Way" singer, when she explained that the reason she ended her relationship with Zafron was her own jealousy towards over-touchy fans of the actor - but now she's talking serious as she explains the world Vanessa Hudgens' gay rights stand.
According to The Inquisitr, Vanessa Hudgens' gay rights stand became apparent as she was interviewed by Clair Pires, who works for GLAAD (which was formerly known as the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) about the subject and the importance of her gay fanbase in her career.
"I think it's important for us to stand up for people and to have each other's back, and to be involved with the gay community and support the community" the former child star told Pires according to The Huffington Post, making sure that Vanessa Hudgens' gay rights stand is known by all those who support her career. "I'm a very open person. Love comes first for me."
This isn't really the first time that Vanessa Hudgens' gay rights support becomes apparent; a few years back, the "Spring Breakers" star talked to gay interest magazine Advocate, when she talked about the early days of her more grown-up career; at the time, she said that a lot of "people in [her] life that [she] loved" were gay, and that she was also proud that her work in the "High School Musical" movies had reached an audience as broad as it did, including LGBT people.
