Fans of the beloved 90s family series have been walking on sunshine since John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse in the original series, confirmed that a spin-off shoe was in the works, with many wondering about the Olsen twins' "Full House" return - but, days after the announcement, it seems like Elizabeth Olsen's younger sisters had no idea of what was going on.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are two of the richest women in the film industry, having made their fortune when they were child actresses and entrepreneurs in the 1990s, following the Olsen twins' "Full House" character Michelle Tanner, where they both became famous since they were seven months old.
It's been 20 years since the last episode featuring the Olsen twins in "Full House" aired, after the show had gone on from 1987 to 1995 - and, although they're pop culture icons in their own right after the series, they had no knowledge whatsoever of Netflix's plans to remake it.
According to Time Magazine, although Stamos told Jimmy Kimmel that the rest of the cast was "in talks" to join the new project, the possibility of the Olsen twins' "Full House" appearance hadn't been discussed with Mary-Kate and Ashley at any point, nor had any part of the show whatsoever.
In a recent interview with Women's Wear Daily, the two were obviously asked about whether the Olsen twins' "Full House" appearance was in the cards, and the two retired actresses and entrepreneurs confessed they hadn't even heard about the project until Stamos' announcement on the late night show, only confirming the news last Tuesday.
Moviefone reports that, while the two blondes are wondering about what's going on with the project, there's one person whose opinion they want: Bob Saget's, who played their TV dad in the beloved show.
"I'm going to call Bob and get his perspective," said Michelle in the interview.
So, in other words, there's still no word on whether there'll be any cameos by the Olsen twins in "Full House."
