Four the past four decades, Lynda Carter and Wonder Woman have been synonymous, after the beautiful actress played the DC Comics superhero between 1975 and 1979, giving the William Moulton Marston-created Amazon a face that would be remember for years to come.
Now, forty years after the release of the original series that saw Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman on ABC (during its first season, as the other three were broadcast on CBS), the actress, who's still looking fresh and beautiful at 63, has stated that she would love to be a part of the upcoming film starring Gal Gadot as the title character.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly Radio's "Inside TV," the actress was asked what she thought about Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman status, as she's been known as the character for most of her career and as such is always asked what she thinks about newer versions - and it turns out that she's very excited to see how it'll turn out!
The thing is, Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman performance isn't the only thing she's aware of about the character; after playing Diana Prince during 4 years and attending Comic-Cons for decades after, she'd be more than ready to step out to help in the new adaptation - if she were invited.
"I would love to be involved in a creative position of it," Carter said, according to Comic Book. "I know so much about what people want from it, I think, that just being as a consultant on a movie. I think it needs a woman."
Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman advice may be more necessary now than ever, as The Hollywood Reporter said earlier this week that Michelle MacLaren, who has directed episodes of shows like "Breaking Bad" and "Game of Thrones," has recently left the DC Comics adaptation due to creative differences.
Will Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman opinion be taken into consideration for the 2017 film?
