WHAT: Launching April 16th, just in time for Earth Day, Earthbound Farm’s Take an Organic Step Forward™ program offers consumers simple daily steps for incorporating more organic into their lives – with coupons, recipes, green living tips and interesting information. Participants will receive a daily email highlighting the day’s step and, over the course of a year, will receive coupons worth at least $50 off the purchase of Earthbound Farm organic food in their local retailer.

According to the May 2011 NPR-Thomson Reuters Health Poll of over 3,000 adults, 58 percent of Americans prefer organic food, but many find barriers (for example price, lack of choices, etc.) to increasing their consumption of organic food. Earthbound Farm’s Take an Organic Step Forward program is intended to help tear down those barriers and pave the way to organic with simple, fun, and rewarding steps.

Through May 31, 2012, in honor of Earth Day and the ecological benefits of organic food and farming, Earthbound Farm is planting one tree with American Forests for each person who signs up in Take an Organic Step Forward.
