‘Frozen 2’ Disney CONFIRMED: Elsa, Anna, Olaf And Kristoff Just Can’t ‘Let It Go’

After the insane success of the 2013 film loosely based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen "The Snow Queen," now the big production company has officially confirmed that a "Frozen 2" Disney movie is in the works, bringing back all the beloved characters from the first film.

The world saw every rendition and then some of the main song from the original film, the Oscar-winning "Let It Go" - and now, only time will tell what super hits will "Frozen 2" Disney sequel bring us, though it seems unlikely that there will ever be a song as popular as the one Idina Menzel sang.

According to Variety, the "Frozen 2" Disney sequel was officially announced last Thursday, as the company revealed the plans for the upcoming movie to the shareholders of Walt Disney Co. in San Francisco.

BBC reports that "Frozen 2" Disney is being developed by the original film's directors, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, along with producer Peter Del Vecho, after they took home the Oscar for Best Animated Feature for the original movie in the early months of 2014, after becoming one of the most successful movies made by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The "Frozen 2" Disney sequel comes at no surprise due to the incredible success its predecessor had, as, according to The Independent, the first film has made almost $1.3 billion in worldwide box office, plus continuing to generate massive merchandise revenue, not to mention DVD and Blu-Ray sales.

Previously, it had been said that there'd be a new short film with the characters, to be released alongside the "Cinderella" live action film, and TMZ reports that there's also a "Frozen" stage musical currently in the works.

There's still no date for the "Frozen 2" Disney sequel, but it'll be bringing back the film's beloved characters, voiced by the same actors as before, like Idina Menzel as Queen Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Josh Gad as Olaf and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff.
