South Africa World Cup: South Africa Beats West Indies, Won by 257 Runs

Sports NDTV has recently posted the highlights of South Africa World Cup last February 27, 2015. The World Cup 2015 has made a buzz over the sports entertainment industry as South Africa triumphed over West Indies by 257 runs with AD de Villiers and Imran Tahir, both leading the game. AD Villiers has made 162 off 66 balls, which made South Africa pile up 408/5. After which, Imran Tahir picked 5/45, making West Indies collapse in defeat at Sydney Cricket Ground.

The rivalry between South Africa and West Indies began in 1975 and 1979 where West Indies has the best dais the world cricket. This is also the time when South Africa lost in the picture on the World Cup game an when South Africa returns in the cricket ground, West Indies was not the same force as it was a decade ago but it is not a weak team by any measure.

Nevertheless, according to ICC Cricket blog site, South Africa ha s played well in the World Cup as reflected in ICC Cricket World Cup rankings. In fact, South Africa is in the third rank while West Indies is placed in the 8th rank. The rival teams has played five matches in six edition since the return of South Africa in the game and each matches had marked in the history with remarkable individual performances of the players coming from each team.

In 2011, ICC World Cup in New Delhi, South Africa and West indies met in Group B game where South Africa has dominant bowling performance in the game, ending to 3-2 for South Africa. Last February 27, has the proved that it is has the best international team in the world at the moment when they bowled out West Indies out for 151 and won by 257 runs, which is the biggest defeat recorded in ODIs and equaling the World Cup record.
