Oscars 2015 Predictions: Birdman, Grand Budapest Hotel, Imitation Game Leading Nods, Who’s Taking Academy Awards?

After a short road to the Academy Awards during this early year award season, the time of the Oscars 2015 predictions is finally here, as news outlets around the world step out to say who's going to be winning the biggest awards of the night, with some heavy contenders on the plate!

Of course, different media have their eye on different Oscars 2015 predictions; for example, Billboard's focus in regards of the biggest awards in the film industry make Best Original Score the top priority, as the website states that the most likely to win in the category is "The Theory of Everything" score, written by Johann Johannsson.

The site's Oscars predictions then go on to say that the other movies' chances of winning in the Score category come in this order: "The Grand Budapest Hotel" by Alexandre Desplat, "The Imitation Game" also by Alexandre Desplat, "Interstellar" by Hans Zimmer and "Mr. Turner" by Gary Yershon.

The site also cites its Oscars 2015 predictions for Best Original Song, citing the John Legend and Common song "Glory" from the Martin Luther King biopic, Selma, saying that the other possible strong contender is "The Lego Movie" song "Everything is Awesome," written by Shawn Patterson.

Website The Concourse asked their film critic team Grierson and Leitch to make their Oscars 2015 predictions for the top categories, and they chose thus: Best Adapted Screenplay going to either "American Sniper" or "The Imitation Game;" Best Original Screenplay for either "Boyhood" or "The Grand Budapest Hotel;" unanimously, Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette in "Boyhood;" also unanimously, Best Supporting Actor for J.K. Simmons in "Whiplash;" unanimously, Best Actress for Julianne Moore's "Still Alice;" in the Best Actor category, either Michael Keaton for "Birdman" or Eddie Redmayne for "The Theory of Everything;" Best Director for either Alejandro González Iñárritu for "Birdman" or Richard Linklater for "Boyhood;" also, they unanimously chose "Boyhood" to take the top Best Picture prize.

The New York Times picks it as such: Best Picture for "Birdman," Best Director for Linklater, Best Actor for Redmayne, Best Actress for Moore, Best Supporting Actor for J.K. Simmons, Best Supporting Actress for Arquette, Best Adapted Screenplay for "Whiplash" and Best Original Screenplay for "The Grand Budapest Hotel."

IGN's Oscars 2015 predictions for the top categories, in the meantime, are as follows: Best Picture for "Birdman," Best Actor for Redmayne, Best Actress for Moore, Best Supporting Actor for JK Simmons, Best Supporting Actress for Arquette, Best Director for Linklater, Best Original Screenplay for "The Grand Budapest Hotel," Best Adapted Screenplay for "The Imitation Game," Best Original Song for Legend's "Glory" and finally Best Original Score for "The Theory of Everything."

In case you haven't seen any of the major contenders yet, it's advised to watch the top nominated films, which is to say "Birdman," "Boyhood," "The Grand Budapest Hotel," "The Imitation Game" and "The Theory of Everything," as every Oscars 2015 predictions show they'll be getting some gold on Sunday night!
