Of course, McDonald's current "Pay with Lovin'" campaign (which was launched as a Super Bowl ad and has had relative success, though marking a lot of awkward moments across the country) would have something to say about Valentine's Day foods, and it seems like select venues across the United States, random people will be selected to use "lovin'" as a currency to pay for their meals, including hugging someone or calling up mom to tell her you love her - in all, representatives for the fast food chain have stated that, for this Valentine's Day, they expect up to 1 million patrons across the country to be asked to pay their meals that way.
USA Today reports that another giant giving out Valentine's Day foods will be Starbucks, which has teamed up with popular dating website Match for the "World's Largest Starbucks Date," offering a so-called "paired menu" for those who are getting their first date in the Seattle-based chain.
The International Business Times also reports that Sbarro's Valentine's Day food promo will give you a free pizza slice along with a coupon if you subscribe to their mailing list on Cupid's day.
