‘Game Of Thrones’ Restaurant: HBO Launches First ‘GoT’ Themed Restaurant In London

As the fifth season of the stories from Westeros and beyond approaches, the subscription cable network that produces the George RR Martin adaptation, HBO, has recently announced one of the coolest series tie-in things ever: a "Game of Thrones" restaurant, which will be decorated in the manner of the show and will serve a menu inspired by its world.

Considering the fact that a good portion of the "GoT" show cast is actually British, it makes perfect sense that the "Game of Thrones" restaurant will be in London, though only for a limited time - but fans will be able to eat just what the characters do in the show, though preferably not the wine Joffrey drank at the beginning of last season.

According to The Independent, the new "Game of Thrones" restaurant, a pop-up one, will be hosting patrons for three days starting next February 13, with a delicious banquet inspired by the popular epic fantasy show.

As CTV News reports, the "Game of Thrones" restaurant will be featured in Andaz Liverpool Street, a five-star 19th century boutique hotel in the United Kingdom capital. It will be catered by The Wandering Chef, a cooking duo that specializes in catering for special events like this one; Grosvenor Mixologists will be in charge of the drinks for the pop-up restaurant.

According to Variety, the dining event will be called "All Men Must Die," a phrase taken from the books and series, a translation from the High Valyrian language of what seems to be the slogan for the entire franchise: Valar Morghulis.

Some of the courses to be served in the banquet will be "The Lies of Tyrion Lannister and his Proclaimed Innocence" and "Poached Veal Togue with Beetroot, Horseradish and Oldtown Mustard" - mixing up the series' mythology along with middle ages-inspired cooking.

The new "Game of Thrones" restaurant will be honoring the release of the Blu-Ray of the series' fourth season next week, a few months after the premiere of season five. Fans of the show can win tickets to the banquet through the HBO website.
