Amal Alamuddin Golden Globes: Is Amal Bored With George Clooney’s Life?

Used as she is to big events plus going out into the globe and making a difference, Amal Alamuddin's Golden Globes appearance next to her new husband George Clooney saw the famous lawyer become the subject of wonder, as news outlets around the world marked that the 36 year-old lawyer seemed bored out of her mind.

It is no surprise that this year marked the first time the world saw an Amal Alamuddin's Golden Globes appearance, but it did become something of a shock to see how tame and unimpressed she was with the whole affair - does this mean her husband's Hollywood lifestyle bores her?

According to Us Weekly, Amal Alamuddin's Golden Globes appearance seemed to just bore the lawyer to tears, as she looked positively unimpressed with the entire show, from the funny quip made by hostesses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler until even George Clooney's heartfelt speech as he received the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award and talked about his new marriage to the British-Lebanese lawyer.

News outlets such as Movie News Guide note that Amal Alamuddin's Golden Globes appearance was marked by polite smiles and being seemingly unimpressed with the whole situation, though, as audiences don't really know her (why would they? Although she's married to one of Hollywood's top people, she's really a lawyer, not a movie star) it is unclear whether this just means she's not very adept at showing emotion - and, in any case, it's a sure thing she's already met a good portion of everyone in that room, considering she's been with George Clooney for a while now, although only recently married.

Even though she seemed not that impressed with what was going on around her, she was definitely news in the event.

"George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year," hostess Tina Fey said, as reminded by The Hollywood Gossip. "Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an advisor to Kofi Annan regarding Syria, and was selected for a three-person UN commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip. So, tonight her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."

Seeing as this was barely the first time the world has seen Amal Alamuddin's Golden Globes appearance, it might be the case that everyone's judging too quickly - we'll just have to wait and see!
