Galbijjim is a variety of jjim or Korean steamed dish made with galbi. Galbijjim is generally made with beef or pork short ribs.
Ingredient
2 lbs of beef short ribs
1 tbsp cooking wine
1 cup water
1 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp garlic, minced
1/2 onion
1 carrot
1/3 cup green onion, chopped
1 tbsp sesame oil
salt and black pepper
Directions
1. Soak short ribs in cold water in a large bowl for at least 30 minutes.
2. Boil water in a large pot. Put in the short ribs. Boil for 5-10 minutes. Discard the boiling water.
3. Prepare a bowl to make seasoned water by mixing 1 cup of water, soy sauce, minced garlic, onion, cooking wine, and brown sugar.
4. Boil it over medium heat for 20 minutes.
5. Put meat and all ingredients into the slow cooker for 1-2 hours.
6. When the meat is tender, add sesame oil, salt and pepper.
