Madonna Instagram: Queen Of Pop Enrages Social Media After Comparing Herself To Martin Luther King [PHOTOS]

The so-called "Queen of Pop" has been making headlines for about three decades now, as she's gained attention over a wide variety of topics over the years, always aiming to be controversial; now, Madonna's Instagram and other social networks have been receiving a lot of hate over the singer comparing herself to Dr. Martin Luther King.

Maybe it has finally happened: Madonna's Instagram (and, really, the singer herself) may have gone a little too far in her latest publicity trick. Many longtime fans of the "Material Girl" and users in social media have become outraged as the singer compares herself to some of the world's biggest figures like Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley and John Lennon.

According to Us Weekly, the latest Madonna Instagram controversy happened as the singer released (willingly this time, after some of her new material was leaked late last year) some of her new album's songs online, with a series of photographs that accompany the cover and image of her upcoming album, "Rebel Heart," which had been scheduled for release on March 10, though it is unclear if the date's still the same.

As MLive reports, the latest Madonna Instagram pictures, the singer, ever the controversial figure, shows figures like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Bob Marley and John Lennon transformed in the image of her new album, "Rebel Heart," as their faces appear tied up the way she looks on the cover, stating things these figures had rebelled at.

"This #rebelheart had a dream!" Madonna posted in the picture of Martin Luther King, according to USA Today. "This #rebelheart fought for freedom," she said of South African leader Nelson Mandela. "This #rebelheart sang about ONE LOVE!" was her comment on Bob Marley.

In any case, Madonna's Instagram has received a whole lot of hate over her latest pictures, but the singer is more than used to causing rage among people - it's a tactic that's served her to remain on top since the 1980s!
