Sean Penn And Charlize Theron Engaged! Oscar Winning Couple To Wed Soon, According To Reports [PHOTOS]

Ever since the first news of the relationship between Sean Penn and Charlize Theron came out, the world has been avidly watching this insanely talented couple of actors - and now, it seems like Madonna's ex popped the question on a recent trip!

For Sean Penn and Charlize Theron, professional success has been a given for the last couple of decades; he's a two-time Oscar nominee that has been in the spotlight for nearly three decades; she's one of the most notorious actresses in Hollywood, with an Academy Award to her name and about two decades in show business.

However, in the past things haven't worked smoothly for Sean Penn and Charlize Theron in the relationships department. Penn was famously married to Madonna in the late 80s, in a highly publicized and controversial relationship that even saw him in court for domestic assault - and, years later, he was married to Robin Wright for nearly a decade; in the meantime, Theron has never tied the knot before, though she was in a long-running relationship with actor Stuart Townsend for nearly a decade.

By the end of 2013, Sean Penn and Charlize Theron started a new relationship - and only months later, it seems they'll be saying "I do"! According to Hollywood Life, the couple got engaged recently during a recent trip to Paris, France, where the "Milk" actor proposed to the South African beauty.

However, other news outlets such as E! Online report that the couple may not be officially engaged yet, but are definitely talking wedding plans for the near future, setting a time and a date - so, while there might not be a ring, wedding bells are definitely on the very near plans!

It seems that the two stars have been friend for many years, way before Sean Penn and Charlize Theron decided to become a couple; according to Hollywood Take, the "Monster" star and her new fiancé had been close friends with each other for nearly 18 years!
