Air Asia news- The search continues for the missing plane carrying 162 passengers including 17 children bound for Singapore. Before the end of the year, another flight went missing, the third aviation catastrophe of Air Asia in 2014.

The latest Air Asia News reported that search and rescue operations are being conducted by Singaporean air force, navy and the Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority CNN reports.

 Air Asia flight QZ8501 lost contact with the air traffic control at 7:24 a.m. on Sunday. The plane left off at Indonesian City of Surabaya and was bound for Singapore.

 Out of the 162 passengers of Air Asia flight QZ8501, there were over 150 Indonesians, one French, three South Koreans, one Singaporean, and one Malaysian. Aside from the passengers, there were also two pilots and five cabin crew members onboard, according to NY Times.

In the Air Asia News reported, Airbus 320-200, flight QZ8501 requested for deviation from its route due to bad weather before it totally lost communication.

"The weather was not good -- it was bad -- at the estimated location the plane lost contact," Indonesian Transport Ministry official Hadi Mustafa stated.

Air Asia News include reports that the plane lost contact when it was somewhere between Kalimantan on Borneo Island and Belitung Island, roughly 42 minutes after its take off from Indonesian City of Surabaya.

Airbus, the manufacturer of the missing Air Asia flight QZ8501, Airbus 320-200 wrote in a statement:
