Bill Cosby Update: Kathie Lee Grifford Says Comedian Tried To Kiss Her

On the episode of "Today" show last Tuesday, Kathie Lee Gifford has revealed that her longtime friend Bill Cosby indeed tried to kiss her and this is another claim on top of the other numerous claims and lawsuits filed against Cosby.

Gifford and Cosby have toured back in the 1970s and she is one of the other women and celebrities such as Beverly Johnson and Janice Dickinson to finally come forward and talk about Cosby's sexual allegations.

Gifford said in the statement: "I, along with so many Americans and people around the world, don't want these [accusations] to be true. I will admit towards the very, very end of the last time I saw him, he did try to kiss me."

The 61-year-old talk show host also talked about how it happened as she said no to Cosby because they were friend and that the comedian said okay and has bid goodnight. She also said good night back then and went into her room while he went into his.

She adds that she is not saying that the other women's allegations are not true but for her and from her own experience, it did not happen.

Her revelation came days after she has defended the 77-year-old about the allegations. She then stated: "In the two years I saw a steady parade of all kinds of people going in and out of his house and his dressing room, but Bill was good to people, very generous to people."

She adds that she personally never saw him treat women the way the allegations are presenting him now but pointed out that it does not mean it never happened as she never saw it with her own eyes.

Aside from celebrities and other people defending Cosby, his wife, Camille, also talked about the allegations. His wife said, "He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew."

She adds that the man being portrayed in the media is very different and it is a man she does not know. She adds, "An accusation is published, and immediately goes viral."
