J K Rowling Books: ‘Harry Potter’ Author Reveals Which Character She Regretted Killing!

For J K Rowling, books have been what have made her famous and a billionaire, after the wild success of the "Harry Potter" series that went published from 1997 to 2007 - but now, she has finally stated one of her biggest secrets: which character she most hated killing!

After J K Rowling's books became a wild sensation following the success of the "Harry Potter" series - which then went on to become an equally successful movie franchise -, the British writer has turned in the last few years to reminiscence and talking about the fate of the characters she created.

According to Time Magazine, the latest news surrounding J K Rowling's books has the author talking about who she regretted killing the most in the series, as she felt it was a character that didn't need to die because they hadn't done anything wrong nor fought evil super wizard villain, Lord Voldemort.

The statement really came in the voice of a short story that the author published on Pottermore, a website the author created to post "updates" of Harry Potter's world, from World Cups of the wizards' sport Quidditch (this World Cup was just about coincidental with the FIFA one this summer, and also "hosted" in South America, though further down in the Patagonia).

The story is a part of the writer's 12-day Christmas series, where Rowling has been posting different stories regarding the Harry Potter world, according to The Huffington Post, including a story focusing on Harry's biggest school rival, Slytherin's Draco Malfoy.

Now, shockingly enough - even considering series favorites like (SPOILERS!) Sirius Black, Dobby, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks and Mad-Eye Moody, the character Rowling most regrets killing is ... Florean Fortescue, the owner of an ice cream parlor in the Diagon Alley, who had a very small role in the whole series!

"I seemed to have him kidnapped and killed for no good reason," wrote Rowling, according to Hollywood Reporter. "He is not the first wizard whom Voldemort murdered because he knew too much (or too little), but he is the only one I feel guilty about, because it was all my fault."

Fans may be disappointed that from all of J K Rowling's books' characters, that's the one she truly regrets killing - but it's still just one of the scoops she's set to release this Christmas!
