Actor Dimitri Diatchenko is now facing charges on cruelty to an animal and felony of criminal threats after the "Sons Of Anarchy" star allegedly butchered the pet rabbit of his ex-girlfriend and ate half of it. Dimitri Diatchenko also warned his ex-girlfriend that he would do the same thing to her.
Apparently, Dimitri Diatchenko had already broken up with his girlfriend, but the two still live together in one house. However, after her ex-girlfriend told him that they will sleep on separate rooms, the frenzied 46-year-old actor killed, skinned, cooked and ate the pet rabbit of Dimitri Diatchenko's ex-girlfriend.
While Diatchenko's ex-girlfriend was out of the North Hollywood house, the actor did the gruesome act of killing the pet rabbit of his ex-girlfriend. Dimitri Diatchenko who was feeling hopeless, sent a step-by-step photos of the alleged killing and eating of the pet rabbit.
The ex-girlfriend of Dimitri Diatchenko who remains to be unidentified told the police authorities that the actor even warned that he would do the same thing to her.
In a phone interview, Dimitri Diatchenko told a CNN affiliate KCAL that the news was totally untrue and is a hoax. Dimitri Diatchenko said he didn't kill and eat the pet rabbit. The Sons of Anarchy actor added that he freed the rabbit and bought rabbit meat to show to his ex-girlfriend.
"This is all a misunderstanding. We got into an argument, but I didn't kill the bunny," Dimitri Diatchenko stated on the phone interview.
New York Daily News stated that Dimitri Diatchenko was arrested on Tuesday in Los Angeles but is now out on bail. If he would be proven guilty of the cruel animal offense, Dimitri Diatchenko could face a potential maximum sentence of four years and eight months in prison.
Dimitri Diatchenko will be facing his initial hearing on the case charges filed against him on December 30. WPTV noted that prosecutors are planning to ask Dimitri Diatchenko for bail to be set at $90,000.
Dimitri Diatchenko is an American actor whose acting career spans two decades. He appeared in cameo roles in episodes of "How I Met Your Mother," and "Bones." Dimitri Diatchenko also landed small part in "Walker, Texas Ranger," where he had a fight scene with Chuck Norris and in the film "Two Broke Girls."
