The most awkward run-in has just been caught in camera after Angelina Jolie and Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal find each other face-to-face after emails have leaked about Pascal and Scott Rudin talking about Jolie's acting skills.
The two crossed paths as they were both invited at "The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Power 100 Breakfast" last Wednesday two days after the leaks surfaced online when Jolie was called a "minimally talented spoiled brat."
In the photo, Jolie just stared at Pascal while Pascal had her lips pursed while her arms were firmly grasping Jolie's shoulders. It was not yet stated what the two told each other in that exact photo taken.
Pascal seemed really apologetic and her pursed lips suggest she really do not know what to say while Jolie seemed intent on waiting for what explanation Pascal has to offer.
Actress/director Jolie has sparked this fight between Pascal and Rudin because she has objected that director David Fincher directing the movie "Jobs", a Steve Jobs biopic instead her version of "Cleopatra".
Rudin said, "YOU BETTER SHUT ANGIE DOWN BEFORE SHE MAKES IT VERY HARD FOR DAVID TO DO JOBS." This email was sent on February 2013 and Pascal shot back saying Rudin should not threaten her.
Rudin continues to say, "There is no movie of Cleopatra to be made (and how that is a bad thing given the insanity and rampaging spoiled ego of this woman and the cost of the movie is beyond me) and if you won't tell her that you do not like the script-which, let me remind you, SHE DOESN'T EITHER-this will just spin even further out into Crazyland but let me tell you I have zero appetite for the indulgence of spoiled brats and I will tell her this myself if you don't."
Rudin and Pascal have stated public apologies for their insensitive words and that it was a private email between friends and colleagues. He adds, "I made a series of remarks that were meant only to be funny, but in the cold light of day, they are in fact thoughtless and insensitive-and not funny at all. To anybody I've offended."
As for Pascal, ,she said that the emails are not an accurate reflection of who she is and that she accepts full responsibility for what she wrote and apologizes as well to everyone she has offended.
Jolie has not yet stated anything about this issue.
