Oh how the time flies! "The Voice", America's version, has already reached its semi-finals and their top five contestants sang their hearts out as they battle for the winning spot for the finale next week.
The Voice's Top 5 consisted of five males but it might all change as there will be a wildcard set on Tuesday so that might be a game changer.
Taylor John Williams sang "Blank Space" and "Falling Slowly" but critics pointed out that his lack of showing emotions ruined his performance as these were both extreme songs, one hyped and one emotionally deep, but the contestant was not able to deliver it very well.
Chris Jamison sang "Sugar" and "When I Was Your Man" but the two performances had conflicting comments as Sugar was not the right song for him although he has this crazy falsetto voice. He made the song sound a little bit forced. As for the second song, everyone loved it as his cover did not fall short of the original song sung by Bruno Mars.
Craig Wayne Boyd sang the gospel song entitled "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Workin' Man Blues" but had not much of an impact to the audience and to the judges. However, his second song was had a country tone and it was quite a performance as his rendition was danceable and a lively performance.
Damien sang "I Don't Want To Wait" and "She's Out Of My Life" and his performance might be as great as that of Chris Jamison's. The arrangement was great for his first song but what really won the hearts of the audience and the judges is his second song. Blake even called it the most perfect performance as it was simple, powerful and even solid. He might be in the running for the latest "The Voice" of the United States.
And completing the Semi Finals of The Voice is Matt McAndrew who sang "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and "Make It Rain". He sounded a lot like Bono and also Ed Sheeran. He is also possibly in the top three of those completing for the finals.
