"The Rolling Stones are devastated by the loss of their very dear friend and legendary saxophone player, Bobby Keys. Bobby made a unique musical contribution to the band since the 1960s. He will be greatly missed," his band co-members said.
The E! Online confirmed that one of the members of The Rolling Stones died. Booby Keys, saxophonist, passed away at the age of 70. Keys was part of the popular legendary rock band for a very long time. He toured as well as enjoyed to be with the group for four decades and more.
The Rolling Stones band also said that "The Rolling Stones are devastated by the loss of their very dear friend and legendary saxophone player, Bobby Keys. Bobby made a unique musical contribution to the band since the 1960s. He will be greatly missed." Such statement was given to E! Online on Dec.2. Keith Richards, guitarist of the group is Keys' friend said that it is another good bye with a black and white picture of Keys smiling, 'I will miss you, Bobby," he said.
Richards has the same birth date as Keys, Dec. 18, 1943 also said that he can't himself being sad because he just lost his biggest and closest pal in the world. Yet, he needs to control all his emotions because Keys would always tell him to cheer-up.
Bobby Keys was born as well as raised in Texas. This is before he made a huge name in music industry all by himself. Aside from playing with The Rolling Stones, he also played with George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Penetrating in the music industry was also difficult for him, but since he has an incredible talent plus without to mention his dedication to reach his dreams and aspiration, Keys became one of the biggest names in the business.
