Natalie Portman To Join Michael Fassbender For New Steve Jobs Movie: Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain Too?

Natalie Portman is currently under negotiations for a role in a Universal project, a Steve Jobs movie.  Said movie is an adaptation of Walter Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs which has become a bestseller, considering that the subject has made valuable contributions in the field of technological advancements. It will portray the life of Apple's co-founder, scripted by Aaron Sorkin based on the book, "Steve Jobs."

If the project pushes through, Portman will be joining Michael Fassbender who will assume the lead role, for the character of Steve Jobs in the forthcoming film. Fassbender and Portman are also slated for another project, Gavin O'Connor's "Jane Got a Gun." Universal Pictures acquired the task when Sony Pictures decided to drop it, IBT reports.

Portman's role is yet to be finalized, considering that other Hollywood stars are also mentioned to take part in the film.  There are speculations that Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain will also join the cast, after reports came out that the star met with director Danny Boyle and Rogen is rumoured to play Steve Wozniak's character.

In the same manner that Jobs' character was reportedly offered to actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale, however, for some considerations, both declined the role. Bale explained that "after much deliberation and conflicting feelings," he has come to a decision, Entertainmentwise reports."

On the other hand, Portman is currently occupied with the preparations for the release of Amos Oz's memoir adaptation "A Tale of Love and Darkness," the first film she has ever directed. She is also producing Burr Steer's "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies."

But despite the current tasks at hand, Portman is expected to give a nod to Steve Jobs project.
