Katy Perry ‘Dark Horse’: Ex Russell Brand Gets Schooled On Thanksgiving, Says He Doesn’t Know Who She Is! [VIDEO]

English-born Russell Brand wanted to learn all about the American holiday of Thanksgiving, so he decided to get schooled by a classroom of children - but it turns out, one of the girls would have preferred eating turkey with Katy Perry, "Dark Horse" and all!

After the success of Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," the actress has been just about everywhere - but then again, so has her ex-husband, English actor Russell Brand! Not too long ago, he announced he would be releasing a children's book - and, given how good he obviously is with children, it comes as no surprise!

While Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" continues to be popular after being released in late 2013, Brand has been sure to keep busy as well. According to the United Kingdom news outlet The Independent, the actor appeared on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" earlier this week to film a segment about the holidays, where he asked schoolchildren what Thanksgiving was.

The seriously adorable segment featured Brand telling the children that, since he was born in England, he wasn't aware of what Thanksgiving meant, so he wanted to spend time with "real Americans" that could enlighten him about this topic. However, even if these were children, he couldn't escape Katy Perry's "Dark Horse"!

As he asked the children who they'd like to invite for Thanksgiving dinner, the first girl told him she'd like to invite him to her dinner table ... but, shockingly enough for him, the second girl said she'd prefer to eat turkey with Katy Perry! The actor and funnyman paused for a moment, then saying "Katy Perry? I don't know who that is!" according to Digital Spy.

The stint caused a lot of press for the actor, who's been outspoken in the past about his relationship with the star. As Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" reached charts late last year, the singer said that he'd asked her for a divorce by text message on New Year's Eve 2011.
