Paul Walker is said to have been brought back to life on screen as the movie makers are planning to bring back the character by including several flashback secenes through CGI and computer imagery.
Yibada shared that speculations about Brian O'Conner's comeback stared when Jordana Brewster was reported to be reprising her role as Mia Torreto in "Fast & Furious 8." The actress had played the role of Vin Diesel's on-screen sister and Paul's wife in the previous installments.
Jordana's inclusion has triggered the reports that Paul's character may be appearing in the film through flashbacks. To recall, the well-loved actor died in a tragic car accident in November 2013 amid the filming of "Fast and Furious 7." Cody Walker, the late star's look-alike brother, was then roped in and used as a body double to complete the film at the time.
It was previously reported that Cody will also be appearing in the eight installment of the movie and will play the role of Brian's younger cousin. However, it has been confirmed that the 27-year-old is not in the casting list of the forthcoming film.
Other confirmed details include Michelle Rodriguez reprising her role as Lorreto's wife Letty Ortiz-Toretto. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, too, will return as Agent Luke Hubbs while Jason Statham will continue to play the character of Deckard Shaw.
Additionally, Vin confirmed that "Fast Furious 8" is also the first part of another trilogy that will eventually end the series. Ina separate report from Parent Herald, Michelle divulged that the upcoming sequel will be paying tribute to Paul.
"[Paul] wanted to bring it back down to the core, which is the racing," the actress said. "He was always complaining about the special effects and the blue screens" and would want to put an end to "exaggerated explosions and crazy plot lines."
Moreover, they will keep it "true to Paul's wishes." Hence, they are taking "Fast and Furious 8" back into street racing and set in New York.
"Fast and Furious 8" is slated for release on April 14, 2017.
