Kiss' frontman Paul Stanley finally addressed the circulating gay rumors and insisted he's not gay.
Stanley spoke with New Zealand's host Robert Scott and said he was perplexed by the floating rumors that's suggesting he's gay. He said he found the speculations "odd" but insisted it is "interesting" and said he no longer cares about it anymore.
The rocker said that he was never attracted to guys and stressed out he has four kids that's why he's confused with the running speculations. Stanley then pointed out the fact that many people take his "comfort with sexuality to misreading it as something it's not." Adding, "But that being said, I more scratch my head at that. So that's always been something that was, and is, persistent. And I just kind of go, 'Well, the boys may not understand, but the women always did.' They got it in more ways than one." See? Not gay."
But though he strongly denied the allegations, he said that there was nothing wrong with being gay. "If I were (gay), I'd be proud to be whatever I am," he explained. "As long as you're a good person, sexual orientation and stuff like that is totally irrelevant," he said.
During the interview, Stanley also opened up about his non gay relationship with longtime companion Gene Simmons. He said, "I think the security and the familiarity. There's no substitute or anything that comes close to being with somebody for forty-some-odd years." He said after fourty six years of being friends with Gene is a blessing, consdering it's a long time friendship.
Adding, "Also within that, you define the terms of it and the boundaries. And I think what works so well for us is giving each other space and respecting our individuality, because we're very, very different."
