It looks like Dreamworks' film adaptation of The Girl on The Train, one of 2015's best-selling novels, is moving along nicely.  An exclusive scoop from Variety indicates that the studio has its eye on two major comic book movie stars as its male leads. The report says that both Chris Evans and Jared Leto are in talks to join a cast that already includes Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, and Haley Bennet.

The film tells the story of Rachel (played by Blunt), a recently divorced woman who becomes transfixed with a seemingly idyllic, married couple that live in a house situated along the train route she takes every day. As the story unfolds, Rachel becomes embroiled in a mystery that centers on the two.

According to Cinema Blend, Evans is in the running for the role of the Tom, Rachel's ex-husband who has since gotten remarried to Anna, who is being played by Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation star Rebecca Ferguson.

Leto is being eyed as one-half of the perfect couple that form the basis of Rachel's many fantasies. His significant other will be played by newcomer Haley Bennet.

As of late, the buzz surrounding the two A-list actors has mostly revolved around their upcoming superhero projects.
