Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer bought a house located north of Wilshire in Santa Monica. The couple reportedly purchased the home for $2.675 million, according to CURBED.
The house is near the Brentwood border and was remodeled by architect Ruben Ojeda. He raised the ceilings to 22 feet and added a second story. The 2,401-square-foot main house features patios, hardwood floors, transom windows and a vine-covered sleeping porch.
Behind the main house is a two-story, 1,200-square-foot art studio, designed by Koning Eizenberg Architecture. The two structures are separated by a small xeriscape yard. It is filled with ornamental plants.
The couple also owns a Brentwood property, which they bought in 2014 for $8.45 million. The double gated property was bought from Emmy-winning talk show host Ricki Lake.
The 6,320 square feet property includes half dozen bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. It includes formal living and dining rooms. It also features a library/office, a sky-lit family room with vaulted ceiling.
The house was also designed with center island kitchen with a combination of stone and butcher block countertops, Variety reported.
Outside the house features a built-in barbecue, verdant backyard with flat, watered lawn, an open-air pavilion and a swimming pool with stone line and a relaxing spa.
But earlier this year Maguire and Meyers flipped back the house to the market for $10.25 million.
