Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Breakup: Actress Speaks Up About Split

Emma Stone, who recently appeared as Sally Bowles in the musical show 'Cabaret', has just addressed the rumors surrounding her and long-time boyfriend Andrew Garfield, and whether or not they've permanently split up.

Earlier this year, the 26-year old actress was believed to be "taking a break" from her relationship with the 31-year old actor.  A source said that the couple were taking a break from seeing each other. "They're both slaves of their schedules," the source added.

However, a few days after the separation news broke out, a few onlookers and paparazzi have spotted Stone carrying a shopping bag with Andrew Garfield's name imprinted on it.

Stone, who knew that photo takers were just around the corners, intentionally didn't turn the shopping bag bag over to hide Garfield's name.

"When I picked up the bag, I was like, 'This is kind of funny if there are any [paparazzi] out there.' There's probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But when it's false, I would rather just let it be false," Stone said.

After seemingly being fed up with all the speculations surrounding her relationship with the 'Spider-Man' actor, Sonte decided to open up and give space to answer many of the media's questions.

"See, I never talked about this stuff for this exact reason - because it's all so speculative and baseless," the Aloha actress said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal magazine.

"I understand the interest in it completely," she said. "But it's so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don't talk about it."

Andrew Garfield on the other hand, who has remained silent all throughout this time, revealed in his recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that he would gladly like to become a father someday.

"I have a longing to be a father myself. Being a dad is something I'd to be at some point.", he said.

Emma Stone, who recently turned down a role from the upcoming movie 'Ghostbuster,' has earned a couple of awards and nominations for her performances in films last year, including the Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
